To the folks at Melrose United Church:
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful send-off on Sunday, September 8! It was an emotional day for us, but we appreciate it so much!
In my emotional haze, I neglected to open the gift while still at the church – though everyone heard it during the service! 🙂 So, here are some pictures of the beautiful clock presented to us on behalf of the congregation:
Thank you also for the photo album full of memories of our time at Melrose. We will always treasure our time together, and are grateful that you welcomed us as a part of your family.
Blessings,
Rev. Jen
United Church Launches Emergency Appeal for Syrian Refugees
From the United Church of Canada Web site:
The United Church of Canada is deeply concerned for the more than 6 million people who are now internal or external refugees, displaced by the fighting in Syria. As the numbers of refugees increase, the United Church has been asked to help. On September 5, 2013, the church launched an emergency appeal for donations that will be directed to our partners on the ground.

It’s nearly haircut time!
The Youth Group was challenged to raise funds for Gifts With Vision.
Rev. Jen promised to cut her hair if they did.
They did. And so she’s gonna.
On Saturday, September 7, Rev. Jen will have 20 inches of hair cut off to donate to Angel Hair for Kids. Pictures to follow (we promise)!
